Scribble is for marking up PDFs, sketching on a blank canvas, measuring drawings, placing reusable symbols, and exporting the result.

| Load | Opens saved browser artwork, editable JSON drawings, PDFs, or images from Browser, Device, or Google Drive tabs. |
| Save | Lets you save to browser folders or back to device files opened with the Device buttons where the browser supports it. |
| Share Session | Creates a portable working copy for another browser or device. |
| Download JSON | Best when you want to reopen and keep editing later. |
| Download PDF | Creates a PDF using the loaded PDF name where possible. |
| Export PNG/JPG | Creates a flattened image for sharing. |
| Annotation Summary | Downloads a comments/stamps list as CSV, Word, or PDF. |
| Update App | Refreshes the offline cache when a newer version has been published. |
| Tool | What it does |

| Brush | Draws freehand strokes. |
| Brush Size | Changes stroke thickness. Use the softness slider for harder or softer brush edges. |
| Eraser | Removes drawn marks. |
| Fill | Fills enclosed areas. |
| Colour | Changes the active colour for drawings, text, symbols, and shapes. |
| Size | Changes line width, dimension text size, cloud text size, and selected text size where supported. |

| Circle / Ellipse / Square / Rectangle | Click or tap to place a basic shape, then select it later to move, resize, rotate, delete, or change opacity. |
| Solid / Dashed Line | Use for straight line drawing. |
| Arc Polyline / Dashed Arc Polyline | Creates linked curved fixture loops for repeated curved runs. |
| Polyline | Creates point-by-point straight and arc segments in one editable line. |
| Straight line lock | Locks the next segment to a clean straight line. |
| Arc direction | Hold Option/Alt while placing an arc polyline segment to flip the direction. |
| Finish / cancel | Double-click or press Enter to finish. Press Escape to cancel. |

| Text Note | Places editable text. Select it again to move, resize, rotate, change colour, change size, or edit the text. |
| Text + Arrow | Places a note with an arrow leader so the text can point to a mark. |
| Dimension Line | Shows a measured dimension and keeps the annotation editable. |
| Cloud Comment | Draws a revision cloud with a movable, editable comment. |
| Stamps | Approved, Approved with comments, Rejected, Arrange Sample, RFI, Revise & Resubmit, Site Issue, and Checked. |

| Select | Picks anything placed above the PDF or canvas: brush strokes, shapes, symbols, images, text, clouds, dimensions, and stamps. |
| Move handle | Drag the selected item or its handle to reposition it. |
| Resize | Use corner handles to resize. Lock aspect ratio can be switched on or off in Select options. |
| Opacity | Makes selected items lighter or darker. |
| Rotate | Right-click or long press to rotate with snap help at common angles. |
| Multi-select | Use Shift on desktop or Multi-select taps on touch devices. |
| Alignment guides | Help line items up. Turn them off in Select options when you want free movement. |

| Place symbol | Select a symbol, then tap or click the canvas to place it. |
| Resize symbol | Resize a placed symbol if needed. The app remembers the resized size during the current session. |
| Save Symbol | Saves only the visible drawn item without blank surrounding space. |
| Folders / JSON | Create user folders, delete symbols, and export or load symbol JSON between browsers. |
| Colour tint | Built-in symbols follow the active colour palette when tinting is supported. |

| Measure & Scale | Sets the drawing scale from a known real dimension on the PDF or canvas. |
| Measure Distance | Measures between two points without leaving a permanent line. |
| Measure Area | Builds a closed boundary from points, straight segments, and arc segments. |
| Dimension Line | Permanent measured annotation tool for the drawing. |
| Grid | Turns the grid on or off from the right floating tools. |
| Snap | Places point tools, shapes, symbols, dimensions, and measurement points on nearby drawing references. If Grid is also on, it can fall back to grid points. |

| Pan | Moves around the page. Trackpads and touch devices also support gesture panning. |
| Zoom + / - | Changes zoom step by step. Pinch zoom works on supported touch devices and trackpads. |
| Zoom to Area | Draw a box around the area you want to enlarge. |
| Three-dot button | Hides or shows the right-side floating tools. |
| Full Screen | Gives more space while working on desktop or touch devices. |
Use + for keys that are pressed together and / for alternate shortcuts. Shape shortcuts work while Shapes is open.
